On July 6, the demonstration application project of all-vanadium liquid flow energy storage power station with a total investment of about 1.6 billion yuan was settled in Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium High-tech Zone.
The project is contracted by Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium High-tech Zone and Panzhihua China Power Investment New Energy Co., Ltd. It is planned to locate in Tuanshan District of Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium High-tech Zone, covering an area of about 80 mu, and invest in the construction of 100MW/500MWh all-vanadium liquid flow energy storage demonstration power station. The project will build a pilot model of long-term energy storage application in Sichuan power system, enhance the influence of Panzhihua as the "capital of vanadium and electricity in China", provide pilot support for Panzhihua all-vanadium liquid flow energy storage products based on Sichuan, radiating the southwest and serving the whole country, and promote the development of vanadium energy storage from the initial stage of commercialization to scale.
"The project is equivalent to a super'charging treasure ', which can store up to 500000 degrees of electricity, charge at the low ebb of power consumption, discharge at the peak of power consumption, effectively realize peak shaving, frequency modulation, emergency reserve and other functions, and improve the reliability of power supply."
