Zhang Shuangqing: Distributed photovoltaic is the preferred new energy investment field in the cement industry at present

On July 7, the "2023 China Cement Energy Conservation and New Energy Development Conference" sponsored by China Cement Network continued to be held in Chongqing, a mountain city. Zhang Shuangqing, senior engineer of

the National Energy Solar Power Research and Development (Experimental) Center, gave a brilliant speech on the theme of "Application Technology Analysis of New Energy Power Generation in Cement Industry". He said that the main sources of carbon emissions in the cement industry include three aspects: raw materials (process emissions), fuel (combustion emissions) and electricity consumption (indirect emissions). The cement industry produces about 7% of the world's carbon dioxide emissions, and China's cement industry accounts for about 12-14% of CO2 emissions, ranking third in the country.

Zhang Shuangqing shared in detail the application of distributed photovoltaic power generation and energy storage technology. He pointed out that distributed photovoltaic is the preferred new energy investment field in the cement industry, and distributed photovoltaic power plant CCER development. With the continuous reduction of energy storage cost and the prominent role of energy storage in peak shaving and valley filling, energy saving and carbon reduction, it can be used as a key investment area in the future.

In addition, Zhang Shuangqing also believes that cement enterprises holding abandoned mines can invest in the construction of decentralized wind farms according to local conditions when conditions permit. It is necessary to promote the application of new energy heavy trucks, biomass power generation and waste heat utilization in the cement industry.
