Good morning, everyone!
The green leaves call midsummer, and the clear sky looks at the golden clouds. In this hot season, I welcome all leaders and colleagues to come to the beautiful mountain city in spite of their busy schedule to discuss the industry and seek the road of the industry. On behalf of Chongqing Cement Association, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the leaders and colleagues attending the meeting!
Cement is an important basic material, under the current industry background, we should take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as a guide, adhere to high-quality development, promote supply-side structural reform, do a good job in reducing replacement, peak staggering production, energy saving and emission reduction, and accelerate the green transformation of the industry.
Combined with the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutralization" put forward by the state, low-carbon development has become the theme of the cement industry in the new era, and is also the only way for the cement industry to achieve high-quality and sustainable development.
Of course, the green and high-quality development of the industry can not be separated from the double support of technology and efficiency, but we can see that since 2022, the efficiency of the cement industry has shown a passive situation of not rising but falling, and the total profit has dropped by 59.5% year on year, and the industry is facing a more severe market situation.
As the only municipality directly under the central government in the west, Chongqing covers an area of 82,400 square kilometers, with a total resident population of 32.13 million. There are 54 cement enterprises in the city, including 31 new dry process enterprises and 23 grinding stations. The clinker production capacity is 52.17 million tons, the cement production capacity is 90.48 million tons, and the per capita cement production capacity is 2.8 tons. The contradiction between supply and demand is very prominent. At present, the construction area of real estate closely related to cement has been growing negatively for three consecutive years, and the new construction area has been growing negatively for four consecutive years, which is basically consistent with the national situation, and the market situation is more severe this year.
In the context of market downturn, we are also facing the pressure of tightening energy efficiency standards and emission standards, and the pressure of carbon emission reduction. In particular, the cement industry will soon be incorporated into the national carbon trading system, and it is urgent for the cement industry to make more substantive breakthroughs in the field of carbon emission reduction. These problems and pressures need to be solved and resolved by cement workers with wisdom. The
