According to the actual work, in March, the Yangtze River Commission added a module for filling in administrative penalties and criminal cases for illegal sand mining on the information platform of sand and gravel mining and transportation management form, which can be filled in by the water conservancy departments of 19 provincial-level administrative regions in the Yangtze River Basin. "In the past, the information exchange channels for investigating and dealing with illegal sand dredgers in other areas were not smooth enough. Acting as an "umbrella" and dereliction of duty in supervision, many cases of illegal sand mining hide the figure
of public officials. Reporters combed the cases of illegal sand mining in the Yangtze River and found that there are public officials behind many cases. Some public officials act as "umbrellas" and accept bribes to help illegal sand miners escape punishment.
