Zhejiang Taizhou strengthens sampling inspection of sand quality for production and strictly prevents abuse of "unqualified sand materials"

It is understood that in order to ensure the quality and safety of construction projects and strictly prevent unqualified sand materials such as excessive chloride ion content from being used in ready-mixed concrete and prefabricated components, from January to June this year. Zhejiang Taizhou Construction Engineering Quality and Safety Affairs Center conducted 11 surprise spot checks on the chloride ion content of sand used in 7 ready-mixed concrete and prefabricated component production enterprises in Taizhou Bay New Area. A total of 71 groups of sand used in production were sampled and tested, and all of them were qualified.

Sand is an important building material related to the structural safety of building engineering. The use of sand with excessive chloride ion content in concrete will lead to excessive chloride ion content in concrete, which will seriously affect the structural safety and durability of building engineering.

Next, Zhejiang Taizhou Construction Engineering Quality and Safety Affairs Center (Testing Center) will continue to strengthen the management of sand used in the production of ready-mixed concrete and prefabricated components enterprises, and random sampling of chloride ion content from time to time, so as to ensure the production quality of ready-mixed concrete and prefabricated components.
