Due to the traditional off-season of cement market, enterprises generally have low shipments, high inventory pressure and fierce market competition. In order to increase shipments, some manufacturers have to adjust prices, further pulling down the price of cement.
Secondly, there are many small grinding enterprises in Jiangsu. Due to the low investment, it is the primary business policy of these small enterprises to occupy the market share at a low price, which also leads to the difficulty of raising the price of cement and aggravates the downward trend of cement price in Jiangsu. This situation is not only affected by seasonal factors such as weather and busy farming, but also reflects structural problems.
In addition, affected by the low price of cement from southern Shandong, the price of cement from major manufacturers in Xuzhou area has continued to decline, approaching about 200 yuan/ton. In
hot weather, the price of cement in Jiangsu has dropped to "freezing point". Although the current market situation is not optimistic, the price of cement in Jiangsu may be warmer in the future. At present, it has entered the peak period of electricity consumption in summer, and various regions have begun to stagger the peak and stop kilns one after another, and Jiangsu will be no exception. Staggering the peak and stopping the kiln to regulate the supply may improve the follow-up cement market.
