2023, Inner Mongolia Boyuan Yingen Chemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary company of Inner Mongolia Boyuan Group, a chemical giant, constructed the first phase of the project with an annual output of 8.6 million tons of trona, the first 1.5 million tons/year soda ash production line, successfully opened the whole process and produced soda ash. It marks the successful commissioning of the first production line of the project.
It is understood that after debugging, optimization and improvement, the first production line is expected to reach production in July, and the commissioning of the second and third production lines will start one after another. According to the overall construction arrangement of the project, the rest of the production lines in the first phase will be commissioned one by one. planned investment of 21.134 billion yuan, has an overall planned capacity of 7.8 million tons/year of soda ash and 800000 tons/year of baking soda. The first phase of the project has a soda production capacity of 5 million tons/year and a baking soda production capacity of 400,000 tons/year; the second phase of the project has a soda production capacity of 2.8 million tons/year and a baking soda production capacity of 400,000 tons/year. The second phase of the project is planned to be completed in December 2025.
Relevant person in charge told reporters that Alashan Tamusu trona mine in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is the largest proven trona mine in China. Inner Mongolia Boyuan Yingen Mining Co., Ltd. obtained the Mineral Resources Exploration License issued by the Natural Resources Bureau of Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on March 1, 2019. There are six trona reconnaissance blocks, and the exploration mineral is trona, with a total area of 353.34 square kilometers. The mining area
under development is a super-large mine, with 709 million tons of trona minerals, which is the largest trona mine in Asia at present.

The main area of
soda ash downstream market is glass products. It is estimated that the demand for soda ash in the photovoltaic glass industry will increase to about 5 million tons in 2025 , with a compound growth rate of more than 20%, and the market demand for soda ash will expand steadily. Under the background of national industrial policy adjustment, the supply increase will be limited, and the soda ash market is expected to continue to be optimistic, so the project has broad market prospects.
