Tianmen City of Hubei Province Launches "Spring Thunder" Action of Joint Law Enforcement of River Sand Mining Management

On March 6, the launching ceremony of the "Spring Thunder" action of joint law enforcement of river sand mining management in 2023 was held at the centralized berthing point of sand mining vessels in Mayang Town, Tianmen City, Hubei Province. Relevant persons in charge of the Municipal Water Conservancy and Lake Bureau, Public Security Bureau, Agricultural and Rural Bureau, Waterway Maintenance Center and other units and relevant law enforcement personnel participated.

According to the requirements of the joint law enforcement action of river sand mining management carried out by the Water Resources Department of Hubei Province, the daily inspection and supervision of river sand mining should be strengthened, and the high-pressure crackdown on illegal sand mining should be maintained. Combining with the actual work of sand mining management in the Hanjiang River in Tianmen City, Tianmen City launched the joint law enforcement "spring thunder" action of river sand mining management from March 6 to 10. The operation mainly inspects the management of sand mining on the surface of rivers (lakes and reservoirs), the centralized berthing points of sand mining vessels and the supervision of centralized berthing vessels, the on-site supervision of licensed mining areas and dredging (desilting) sand and gravel comprehensive utilization projects, and the spot checks of small and medium-sized river branches, wharfs, sand yards, anchorages and ship repair sites, etc. Ships (vehicles) that cannot provide legal source certificates shall be dealt with according to law, and those suspected of forging legal source certificates shall be transferred to the public security department in a timely manner. After the start of the

operation, all the participants boarded the ship to carry out a centralized water patrol, and along the Mayang-Duoxiang and Mayang-Zhanggang sections, they inspected the Liujiahe mining area, the Green Linkou mining area, the Yangjiayue dangerous section renovation, and the relevant legal certificates of sand and gravel mining and transportation vessels.
