Recently, another unit of China Railway moved to Xiongan New Area as a whole.

Xiongan New Area, a national-level new area under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, is located in the central part of Hebei Province, in the hinterland of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding. Xiongan New Area includes Xiongxian County, Rongcheng County, Anxin County and some surrounding areas, covering an area of about 1770 square kilometers. On April 1, 2017, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued a circular, deciding to establish a national-level new area, Xiongan New Area, Hebei Province. Xiongan New Area is located at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains, in the middle of the Jizhong Plain, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the South Juma River, on the alluvial fan of the Daqing River system, and belongs to the transition zone from the Taihang Piedmont Plain to the alluvial plain. It has a warm temperate monsoon continental climate with four distinct seasons. There are Nanjuma River, Daqing River, Baigou River and other rivers passing through, and Baiyangdian is located in the territory. Jingxiong Intercity Railway, Tianjin-Xiong Intercity Railway, Gubao Intercity Railway and Beijing-Shijiazhuang Intercity Railway pass through the territory, and G18 Rongwu Expressway, G0211 Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway, G45 Daguang Expressway, S7 Tianjin-Baoding Expressway and Jingxiong Expressway traverse the whole territory. On August 30, 2019, Xiongan New Area was set up in Xiongan District of China (Hebei) Free Trade Pilot Area. In December 2019, Xiongan New Area was selected as the first batch of pilot areas for the construction of a strong transportation country. In 2022, there were 428 projects under construction in Xiongan New Area, and the investment in fixed assets increased by 28.0%.
