On March 2, the Xijiang Bureau carried out a complaint case verification to review the case of suspected "ant moving" illegal river sand mining in Deqing County, Zhaoqing City. After inspecting the scene and listening to the report of the responsible department, the
inspection team stressed:
First, we should further improve our political standing, take relevant actions as soon as possible, strengthen the supervision of sand mining during the National "Two Sessions", and prevent the resurgence of illegal river sand mining.
Second, we should strengthen joint law enforcement and consolidate the effectiveness of rectification. The local river chief office should strengthen the linkage with water conservancy, public security, natural resources, ecological environment, agriculture and rural areas, transportation, market supervision and other departments, and implement responsibilities in accordance with hierarchical responsibilities to form a joint force. Carry out the work of "looking back" from time to time to ensure that the effect of rectification does not rebound.
Third, we should make up for the shortcomings, such as setting up roadblocks, partition piles, strengthening squatting patrols in sensitive time periods, installing video surveillance facilities and other measures to enhance the means of supervision.
Fourth, we should strengthen publicity and warning education and mobilize social forces to strengthen supervision. Such as distributing leaflets into villages and households, setting up billboards and warning signs at the scene and intersections, and setting up publicity banners, etc., to form a strong deterrent force and create a good atmosphere for the whole people to actively care for rivers and lakes.
