Recently, Wang Wei and Zhao Shaopeng, young experts from the State Key Laboratory of High Performance Civil Engineering Materials, led by Jiang Wang, Sichuan Regional General Manager of Subot Technology Promotion Department, went to the Xicheng Railway Command of the Second Bureau of China Railway, located in Songpan County, Aba Xizangan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, together with the leaders of various departments of the project command. Technical seminars were held on concrete quality control in high altitude, low air pressure, high temperature difference and cold areas, as well as cost control measures for shotcrete.

Difficulties of

the Project Xicheng Railway is a newly-built railway line from Xining to Chengdu. It starts from Xining City, the capital of Qinghai Province in the north, and is connected to the Huangshengguan Station of the Chengdu-Lanzhou Railway under construction. It is connected to the Chengdu Hub along with the Chengdu-Lanzhou Railway. The total length of the line is 824.72 km, and the newly built length of the Sichuan section is 169.261 km. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2028, aiming at developing the tourism resources of the Pure Land Aba and connecting the northwest and southwest of the motherland. China Railway No.2 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. undertakes the XCSCZQ-1 section of Xicheng Railway, and the control works of the section are Baozuo Tunnel, Muchangcun Tunnel and track laying of the whole line, which are expected to take three years. Two bridges (4.23 km) and two tunnels (14.68 km) are included in the bid section. The preliminary geological survey in this area found that there are water gushing and Class IV surrounding rocks, layered weak planes, and the construction conditions are high altitude, low pressure and high temperature difference, so the construction is difficult and complex. At the

seminar, Engineer Wang Wei introduced the concept, history and composition of accelerators, and made a detailed analysis of the standards of accelerators at home and abroad and the use of various accelerators. Finally, through the adjustment of cement clinker mineral composition, the improvement of shotcrete construction technology and the mature experience of rebound control on a railway line in the plateau, how to take measures to reduce the rebound rate of shotcrete in the construction is reported to the project leader, so as to achieve the goal of saving cost and increasing efficiency.

Subsequently, Engineer Zhao Shaopeng provided technical ideas for Xicheng Railway based on the construction technology experience of plateau railway, and made a detailed introduction to the participants on the issues of underwater concrete and the quality control of the appearance of the second lining concrete in the tunnel. Finally, Engineer Zhao put forward solutions from the aspects of admixture component control, construction mix proportion adjustment and construction technology improvement, which were unanimously approved by the leaders of all departments of the project department.

This technical exchange meeting fully demonstrates Subot's scientific research strength in the fields of plateau concrete and shotcrete, and helps customers understand Subot from multiple perspectives and levels.
