As one of the most dynamic and potential regions in the world, the Asia-Pacific region has the largest energy demand and the fastest growth of renewable energy. But the situation is still grim. The energy consumption structure in the Asia-Pacific region still relies too much on coal-fired power generation, accounting for 57%. Its carbon emissions account for more than half of the world's total, and its carbon intensity related to power generation ranks first in the world, with 590 grams of CO2/kWh in 2022, higher than global average (460 grams of CO2/kWh).

Among them, photovoltaic power generation will account for nearly 50% of the power system dominated by renewable energy. To this end, the total installed capacity of photovoltaic will increase to 24 times in 2018 by 2050.
