Recently, the project of lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode material with an annual output of 200000 tons invested by Qingdao Ganyun Hi-Tech New Materials Co., Ltd. was officially started. The total investment of

the project is 5 billion yuan, which is divided into two phases. There are 22 new cathode material production lines in the first phase, which can produce 100000 tons of cathode materials for lithium manganese iron phosphate batteries annually. As an upgraded version of lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese iron

phosphate is a new cathode material obtained by adding manganese element on the basis of lithium iron phosphate, which has the advantages of low cost and high voltage, and has the advantages of safety and long cycle life compared with ternary materials.

At present, the energy density of lithium iron phosphate, the mainstream cathode material in the market, has almost reached the upper limit, and lithium manganese iron phosphate is expected to break the bottleneck. Upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain,

including Ningde Times, Zhongchuang Xinhang, Guoxuan Gaoke and Dangsheng Science and Technology, are increasing the layout of lithium ferromanganese phosphate track.

Last August, Guanghua Science and Technology announced that it planned to build a project with an annual output of 36000 tons of lithium manganese iron phosphate and iron phosphate cathode materials in the existing plant area.

Last September, the German nano-lithium manganese iron phosphate cathode material project with an annual output of 110,000 tons was officially put into operation in Qujing City, Yunnan Province on the 19th. In January

this year, the production line of lithium manganese iron phosphate with an annual output of 5000 tons was put into operation in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. In April

this year, Dangsheng Shudao (Panzhihua) New Materials Co., Ltd. carried out the first EIA information announcement for the project with an annual output of 120000 tons of phosphoric acid (manganese) iron lithium cathode materials. The R & D and industrialization of lithium ferromanganese

phosphate have been continuously promoted, and the industrial chain has been gradually improved. Organizations believe that 2023 may become the mass production and application node of lithium manganese iron phosphate.
