It is reported that researchers have overcome the difficulties of lack of key technologies, focusing on key technologies and manufacturing equipment such as raw material purification, glass composition and formula, ultra-thin forming, breaking through more than 100 technical bottlenecks, and finally developed this flexible foldable glass as thin as cicada wings.
It is understood that the glass is extremely thin and has a bending life of more than 1 million times, which can be called "black technology" in the glass industry, and can be widely used in folding mobile phones or tablets, wearable display, integrated circuits and other fields.
In the future, the team will also work on the development of very thin glass of 10 microns and use it as a new substrate material in the fields of semiconductors and flexible solar cells.
