On June 27, the 100 MW/200 MWh decentralized control grid-type independent energy storage power station independently developed by China Huaneng realized full capacity grid connection in Laiwu Power Plant, Shandong Province, marking the formal operation of the world's first 100 MW decentralized control grid-type independent energy storage power station.
The energy storage power station is invested and developed by Huaneng Shandong Branch and developed by Huaneng Qingneng Institute. For the
first time, Huaneng's self-developed 1500V grid-type modular energy storage converter (PCS) and national energy management system (EMS) have the advantages of system inertia, strong voltage and frequency support capacity, and can stabilize the fluctuation of new energy generation through the fine and intelligent management of battery energy in the energy storage system. Improve the regulation ability of power grid, effectively deal with the problems of large peak-valley difference and rapid change of power grid load, and provide strong support for the safe and stable operation of power system.
At the same time, the power station is Huaneng's first (set) major technical equipment "autonomous controllable battery energy storage integrated management and control system" scientific and technological achievements industrialization application demonstration project, the system from the perspective of the whole station to carry out in-depth integration and optimization of PCS, EMS, etc., to reduce the incidence of data processing and communication failures between the subsystems, and to improve the system. And that operation efficiency of the control system is greatly improve.
The energy storage power station is one of the energy storage demonstration projects in Shandong Province in 2022, which can store 200000 kilowatt-hours of electricity once charged, and can meet the daily electricity demand of about 30000 households. After the
project is put into operation, it will be integrated into the unified dispatching management of Shandong power grid, mainly participating in the provincial power auxiliary, power grid peak shaving, energy storage capacity leasing and other services, which can absorb about 100 million kilowatt H of new energy annually and reduce coal consumption by about 31000 tons. It provides support for ensuring the stable operation of Shandong power grid, improving the comprehensive utilization rate of new energy resources and building a new power system.
