On June 28, the Silicon Branch released the latest price of silicon materials this week, and the lowest price has reached 55,000 yuan/ton.
This week, the decline of silicon materials narrowed, but the gap between the highest price and the lowest price of each category continued to widen.
Among them, the transaction price of N-type materials was 720-78000 yuan/ton, with an average of 737000 yuan/ton, and the average price decreased by 0.27% week on week. The transaction price
of monocrystalline recharging was RMB 6000-75000/ton, with an average of RMB 67500/ton, and the average price decreased by 0.88% week on week. The transaction price
of monocrystalline dense materials was 580-73000 yuan/ton, with an average of 65700 yuan/ton, and the average price decreased by 1.05% week on week. The transaction price
of monocrystalline cauliflower was 550-70 thousand yuan/ton, with an average of 62000 yuan/ton, and the average price decreased by 1.12% week on week.
Polysilicon price (monthly average price)
Data source: Digital New Energy DNE
According to the tracking of Digital New Energy DNE, the current price of silicon materials has approached the lowest price since 2019, and the important reason is obviously the excessive growth of supply.
According to incomplete statistics of digital new energy DNE, from January to May this year, domestic polysilicon production totaled 530000 tons, an increase of 90% over the same period last year. Among them, in May alone, domestic polysilicon production reached about 115600 tons, an increase of 4.6%.
Monthly polysilicon production (monthly)
Data source: Digital New Energy The rapid increase in DNE
production has led to increasing downward pressure on prices, and many polysilicon enterprises have begun to adjust their production expansion and production plans.
Recently, Lu Jinbiao, deputy director of the Expert Committee of the Silicon Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, said in an interview with the media, "What we see now is that after the price of polysilicon has fallen rapidly to a low level, the leading enterprises have stopped planning for new capacity expansion, and the new enterprises will no longer promote the second phase of the project.". Except for the projects that have substantially promoted civil construction, completed the order of main equipment and paid in advance, other new projects have been postponed.
