On October 18, Wushan Branch of Tianshui Ecological Environment Bureau of Gansu Province issued the announcement of the proposed approval opinions on the environmental impact assessment document of "Tianshui Qilianshan Cement Co., Ltd. 5 million tons of high-quality machine-made aggregate production line project". It is understood that the project is a new project, which includes mining engineering and aggregate processing. The mining engineering includes mining, rough crushing, chute adit transportation system, public works and environmental protection engineering. The aggregate processing area is located in the clay ore mining area of the former Wushan Cement Plant, yuanyang Town, Wushan County, 4km to the west of the mining area. The main works such as aggregate crushing, screening, shaping and sand making workshops are newly built, and the ancillary works such as transmission belts and finished product storage sheds are constructed, with a total investment of 500 million yuan and an environmental protection investment of 3.174 million yuan.
This project is in line with the national industrial policy and relevant planning requirements. The "three wastes" produced during the operation period of the project can be discharged up to the standard by taking corresponding pollution prevention and control measures, and the ecological impact and damage can be restored by taking corresponding control measures. Therefore, this assessment considers that the construction unit can reduce the adverse impact of the project on the environment to an acceptable level by implementing various environmental protection measures and countermeasures proposed in this report and reducing and exempting various adverse impacts on the premise of fully guaranteeing the investment in environmental protection. From the perspective of environmental protection, the construction of the project is feasible.
