Cement normalization and peak staggering in the heating season of 2022-2023 in Inner Mongolia have achieved remarkable results

In order to effectively reduce excess capacity and reduce air pollutant emissions, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of the Autonomous Region, together with the Department of Ecology and Environment, has taken measures such as special deployment, precise measures, targeted efforts and strengthening self-discipline to strengthen the normal peak staggering production of cement in the heating season of 2022-2023, and has achieved remarkable results. Autonomous Region, the normal off-peak production of cement will be stopped for 4 months from December 1 to March 31. 100% of the cement clinker production lines in the whole region participated in peak staggering production, 45 production lines stopped kilns on time to carry out peak staggering production, the kiln shutdown rate was 85%, of which the kiln shutdown rate of non-carbide slag enterprises was 100%, all of which should be stopped, and carbide slag clinker enterprises signed peak staggering replacement agreements with traditional enterprises. It has played a positive role in controlling production capacity, stabilizing prices, increasing efficiency, improving the environment, saving energy and reducing emissions. The situation of off-peak kiln shutdown was publicized on the websites of the Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Department of Ecological Environment, and was subject to supervision from all walks of life. According to statistics, during the peak-staggered production period in the heating season of 2022-2023, the cumulative output of clinker was reduced by 18 million tons, coal consumption was reduced by 2.26 million tons, CO2 emissions by 15.64 million tons and NOx emissions by 17.1 million tons.
