On October 19, Cainiao's rail-road intermodal transport project for Tongwei Solar Energy was officially launched recently. The transport of goods is mainly used for centralized photovoltaic power generation photovoltaic modules, starting from the Tongwei production base in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, and the destination is the construction site of the photovoltaic project in Qishan Township, Yongdeng County, Lanzhou, Gansu Province. The scheme of rail-road intermodal transport combines Cainiao trunk line logistics with long-distance railway transportation, with a total distance of nearly 2000 kilometers. The estimated total capacity of the PV modules is about 270 MW, and the shipment time is expected to last from September to December.
Tongwei Solar now has seven bases in Hefei, Shuangliu, Meishan, Jintang, Pengshan, Yancheng, Nantong and Tonghe projects. The existing battery capacity is 90GW. In 2024-2026, it will form a battery capacity of 130-150GW, of which the large-size capacity will account for more than 90%, and the existing capacity of high-efficiency modules is 55GW. With the rapid development of Tongwei, the demand in the field of logistics will increase substantially in the future.
