Before the arrival of the mining period in

2023, in order to comprehensively strengthen the supervision of water traffic safety in the mining area of Poyang Lake. On the morning of June 14, the responsible comrades of Jiujiang Sand Mining Administration Field Command, Ganpo Sand Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Jiangxi Qinglong Shipping Co., Ltd. participated in the Symposium on Water Traffic Safety Supervision in Poyang Lake Mining Area held by the Municipal Maritime Administrative Law Enforcement Brigade in Lianxi District Port and Maritime Brigade. The main responsible comrades and relevant personnel of the port and maritime departments of the counties (cities and districts) along the lake participated in the discussion. Zou Pingyou, a second-level researcher of the Municipal Sand Mining Administration, attended the meeting and made a speech.

The meeting held a heated discussion on the supervision of water traffic safety in the mining area of Poyang Lake, and put forward the following suggestions and opinions. 1. Strengthen communication and cooperation and exchange information in a timely manner. Establish a Wechat Group for Water Traffic Safety Supervision in Poyang Lake Mining Area, and timely feedback of the problem results. 2. Delimiting anchoring waters and optimizing navigation environment. After the meeting, navigation notices will be issued in time to maintain the order of water traffic and navigation. 3. Strengthen duty to ensure the safety of berthing. It is necessary to strengthen the anchoring management of sand mining vessels, leave enough personnel on duty, pay attention to safety, and prevent accidents. 4. Pay attention to ship pollution and prevent pollution of waters. Determine the frequency of receiving pollutants from ships, and strengthen on-site inspection of receiving pollutants from ships. Five, control the total number of ships to prevent blocking the channel. Strengthen the management of ship dispatching, control the total amount of ships entering the lake to be mined, standardize the anchoring behavior of ships, and ensure the smooth and orderly waterway.
