On June 21, the pouring of the last 22 # face slab of the first phase of the dam of Maerdang Hydropower Station was completed, marking the successful conclusion of the pouring of the first phase of the face slab, laying a solid foundation for the next step of the work of covering and paving in front of the dam and the second phase of the face slab. The water retaining structure
of Maerdang Hydropower Station is a concrete face rockfill dam, of which 37 concrete faces with a total area of 59,000 square meters are poured in three phases, including 12 faces with a total area of 16,000 square meters in the first phase, totaling 14,700 cubic meters of concrete. It was poured on April 16 and completed in 67 days. Since the pouring of
the first warehouse, in order to ensure the quality of pouring, Maerdang Company has adhered to the management concept of "test first, first piece approval, model leading and continuous improvement", and has organized construction units to carry out "one warehouse, one summary" analysis and discussion for many times to study and solve the problems existing in the pouring process. At the same time, designers and experts are invited to conduct on-site guidance on steel bar binding, concrete vibration, slip-film lifting and slump control, so as to ensure the quality of concrete pouring under adverse conditions such as more rain in flood season and large temperature difference between morning and evening, and to complete the concrete pouring of the first phase of the dam with high quality and efficiency.
In the next step, Maerdang Company will organize and carry out the second phase of panel concrete pouring in an orderly manner with the goal of sluice impoundment.
