1. Waste water

After sedimentation treatment, the upper clear water is discharged to the rainwater pipe network (in rainy days) or reused for washing, dust suppression, greening, etc. In the port area. 2. The waste gas produced by the waste gas

project is mainly the particulate matter produced by bulk cargo loading and unloading, transshipment and transportation, as well as the exhaust gas of automobiles and ships arriving at the port. Dust emission is controlled by a series of measures such as setting up closed bulk storage yard (spraying dust in the storage yard), closed transfer station (setting up dry fog dust suppression in the transfer station), closed conveying corridor, setting up wind shield (or closed chute) for loading and unloading machinery and dry fog dust suppression; In addition, the emission of pollutants from ships arriving at the port is reduced by selecting diesel oil with low sulfur content, reducing the operation load of auxiliary engines, and setting shore power facilities; the emission of dust and exhaust gas from ships arriving at the port is subject to the emission standard limits of Shanghai Integrated Emission Standard of Air Pollutants (DB31-933-2015).

3. Noise

This project further reduces the impact of noise on the surrounding environment by selecting low-noise equipment, taking sound insulation and vibration reduction measures, and optimizing the layout and setting up green belts.

4. Solid waste

This project does not accept the solid waste of ships arriving at the port. The solid waste of ships arriving at the port shall be entrusted to the ship pollutant receiving unit recognized by the maritime department for collection and disposal; The waste engine oil, waste engine oil drums, oil-containing rags and gloves collected by classification of the project shall be regularly transported and disposed by qualified units after being stored in the land hazardous waste temporary storage room. A hazardous waste temporary storage room with an area of about 5 square meters (volume of about 10 cubic meters) is set up beside the sewage treatment facilities in the

plant area, which can accommodate the hazardous waste of this project. The temporary storage room shall be designed, constructed and managed in strict accordance with the design principles of storage facilities, hazardous waste stacking specifications and other relevant requirements in the Standard for Pollution Control on Hazardous Waste Storage (GB18597-2023). The warehouse shall be sealed, windproof, rain-proof and sun-proof, and the ground shall be subject to anti-seepage treatment. The stored hazardous wastes shall be regularly handed over to qualified units for treatment. The solid wastes generated from

loading and unloading shall be comprehensively utilized by the rear storage yard; the iron-bearing sundries shall be temporarily stored and regularly sold after collection; the sludge generated by the sewage treatment station shall be sold or comprehensively utilized after drying; and the domestic garbage shall be daily cleaned and transported by the environmental sanitation department. A temporary storage room for general solid wastes (with a volume of about 20 cubic meters) covering an area of about 10 square meters is set up next to the sewage treatment facilities in the plant area, which can accommodate the general industrial solid wastes of the project. The storage process of general industrial solid waste shall meet the corresponding environmental protection requirements such as leakage prevention, rain prevention and dust prevention.
