Country Garden Holdings chairman personnel changes!

The Country Garden Holdings announced in the morning of March 1 that Yeung Kwok Keung, the chairman and executive director of the company, tendered his resignation from the positions of chairman and executive director of the company due to age reasons, with effect from March 1, 2023.

Yeung Kwok Keung will continue to participate in the corporate operation of the Group in the form of a special adviser after his resignation. Yeung Kwok Keung has also resigned as the chairman of the Nomination Committee, the chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee, the chairman of the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee, the chairman of the Executive Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee of the Company with effect from 1 March 2023.

The Board announces that Yang Huiyan, the Co-Chairperson of the Company, has taken over as the Chairperson and has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Nomination Committee, the Chairperson of the Corporate Governance Committee, the Chairperson of the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee, the Chairperson of the Executive Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee of the Company with effect from 1 March 2023, and will continue to serve as an Executive Director of the Company.

According to the Announcement, Yang Huiyan, aged 41, was appointed as an Executive Director in December 2006, appointed as the Vice Chairman in March 2012 and re-designated from the Vice Chairman to the Co-Chairman in December 2018. Yang Huiyan is the daughter of Yang Guoqiang, the sister of Yang Ziying, an executive director, the wife of Chen Chong, a non-executive director, and the cousin of Yang Zhicheng, a senior manager of the company.
