Huaxin Overseas Factory Wins Three Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility

Recently, at the 4th CSR Awards Ceremony in Zambia, Huaxin Zambia Qilanka Cement Co., Ltd. won the "Best Environmental Excellence Award for Environmental Action Education", "Best Community Social Impact Award for Housing and Infrastructure" and "Annual CSR Innovation Chairman Award". Hosted by the Zambia Corporate Social Responsibility Network,

the award recognizes the positive impact and contribution of corporations, non-governmental organizations and individuals to the well-being of society. Under the guidance of the idea of sustainable development, Qilanka Company uses environmental protection disposal to recycle and utilize the garbage that could only be sent to the landfill site, thus solving the long-standing problem of local garbage disposal. Qilanka has also cooperated with local e-waste disposal companies and universities to raise the environmental awareness of local communities and students through a series of activities and publicity. At the same time, Qilanka, in cooperation with the local charitable organization Habitat for Humanity International, built 46 housing units for seven communities in Lusaka and Ndola. Qilanka has made positive contributions to solving the current socio-economic challenges faced by Zambian society, such as education, housing, infrastructure, and a series of problems brought about by climate change.

On the same day, representatives of CSR Zambia and other stakeholders visited Qilanka to learn more about the waste disposal process, and the company's approach to recycling alternative energy from waste was unanimously praised by the visiting representatives.
