On June 20, the National Energy Administration released statistics on the national power industry from January to May. The data show that the newly installed photovoltaic capacity is 61.2G W from January to May 2023.
By the end of May, the total installed capacity of power generation in China was about 2.67 billion kilowatts, up 10.3% year-on-year. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power was about 450 million kilowatts, with a year-on-year increase of 38.4% ; the installed capacity of wind power was about 380 million kilowatts, with a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.
From January to May, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment in China was 1430 hours, 32 hours less than same period last year. Of which, 967 hours for hydropower, decreased by 294 hours over the same period last year; 535 hours for solar power, decreased by 28 hours over the same period last year; 1081 hours for wind power, increased by 105 hours over the same period last year; 1765 hours for thermal power, increased by 45 hours over the same period last year; Nuclear power 3122 hours, an increase of 41 hours over the same period last year.
From January to May, the investment in power supply projects of major power generation enterprises in China was 238.9 billion yuan, an increase of 62.5% over the same period last year. Among them, solar power was 98.2 billion yuan, up 140.3% year-on-year, and nuclear power was 26.9 billion yuan, up 66.5% year-on-year. Power grid projects completed investment of 140 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8% over the same period last year. In terms of
