Beijing: From January to May, the sales area of residential buildings increased by 35.1% year-on-year

Recently, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics announced the operation of the real estate market in Beijing from January to May 2023.

In terms of real estate market construction, from January to May, the new construction area of real estate development enterprises in the city was 4.815 million square meters, down 17.3%. Among them, the new construction area of residential buildings was 2.503 million square meters, down 18.4% year on year; office buildings were 326,000 square meters, up 17.3%; commercial buildings were 270,000 square meters, up 18.2%. The completed

housing area of the city was 3 million 687 thousand square meters, an increase of 48.4% over the same period. Among them, the completed area of residential buildings was 1.587 million square meters, an increase of 24.5%; the area of office buildings was 553,000 square meters, a decrease of 0.9%; the area of commercial buildings was 167,000 square meters, an increase of 5.7%.

In terms of real estate market sales, from January to May, the sales area of new commercial housing in the city was 4.322 million square meters, an increase of 36.9% over the same period last year. Among them, the sales area of residential buildings was 3.137 million square meters, an increase of 35.1%; the sales area of office buildings was 303,000 square meters, an increase of 76.9%; the sales area of commercial buildings was 273,000 square meters, an increase of 53.5%.

In terms of funds in place for real estate development enterprises, from January to May, the funds in place for real estate development enterprises in the whole city were 208.99 billion yuan, an increase of 19.1% over the same period last year. Among them, the deposits and advance payments were 115.79 billion yuan, up 31.8%; domestic loans were 32.23 billion yuan, down 5.1%; self-raised funds were 25.6 billion yuan, down 0.5%.
