On February 21, the Port and Navigation Development Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region issued the Notice on Doing Well the Work of Ships Leaving the Port and Passing the Lock.
The notice shows that
Guigang Port and Navigation Development Center, Wuzhou Waterway Construction and Maintenance Development Center, Guangxi Xijiang Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Datengxia Water Conservancy Project Development Co., Ltd
. Combining with the actual capacity of Changzhou Lock in dry season, from February 22, the number of downbound ships whose draft meets the load limit requirements will be controlled by no more than 125 ships per day. No more than 39 ships per day at Datengxia Lock, no more than 34 ships per day at Guiping Lock, no more than 25 ships per day at Guigang Port (downstream of Guiping Hub), and no more than 27 ships per day at Wuzhou Port (upstream of Changzhou Hub). The number of ships leaving the port (passing through the lock) per day includes priority ships passing through the lock. The traffic port and shipping departments of Guigang City and Wuzhou City are
requested to urge the port enterprises under their jurisdiction to make daily production plans, publicize the emergency measures taken, ensure that the shipping enterprises and shipowners understand, understand and support the control measures, and arrange the daily downward navigation through Changzhou Lock according to the number of ships reported to Changzhou Lock. The list of ships leaving the port and passing through the lock shall be submitted to the Guangxi Xijiang Lock Dispatching Center. The operation and dispatching centers of Datengxia Lock and Xijiang Lock are requested to arrange the downbound ships to report and dispatch through the lock strictly according to the quantity. All shipping enterprises are requested to arrange the production plan properly and notify the departure ships to berth as required and obey the dispatching management.
