Around Rainbow Glass, Shaoyang actively lays out upstream and downstream enterprises, and promulgates the "Special Glass Valley" plan and the development plan of new display materials industry. In 2020, Hunan Shaohong G8.5 + LCD substrate glass project with an investment of 20 billion yuan started construction in Shaoyang based on the international cutting-edge substrate glass production process, and in 2022, the first production line began trial production. At present, Shaoyang City has built research platforms such as Hunan Special Glass Research Institute, gathering 110 downstream display material enterprises with an output value of nearly 20 billion yuan.
