On September 28, the Seminar on Steady Growth and High Quality Development of Cement Industry in Hebei Province was successfully held in the Green Low Carbon Service and Exhibition Center of Hebei Building Materials Industry Association (Xiongan). About 50 representatives of Hebei Building Materials Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as "Provincial Building Materials Association") and cement enterprises attended the meeting. Chen Guidong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Building Materials Association, presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Zhang Chengxin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Building Materials Association, publicized and interpreted the "Notice of Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology on the Work of Cement Staggered Peak Production in 2023-2024" (Ji Gong Xin yuan Han [2023] 391) (hereinafter referred to as the document). The significance and implementation steps of peak-shifting production in cement clinker enterprises of the whole province are further emphasized. Focusing on the spirit of the document and combining with the actual situation of the enterprise, the representatives of the
participating enterprises had a heated discussion on the steady growth of the industry, the guaranteed operation, the development of peak staggering production, and the problems and opportunities faced by the enterprises in the current industry.
Executive Chairman Li Huaijiang made a concluding speech. He said that at present, with the continuous decline of real estate investment in the whole province, the demand for cement market has obviously weakened, the cement industry is facing great difficulties, and the efficiency of enterprises in the industry has obviously declined. It is necessary to hold this meeting at this key point to further consolidate the consensus of the industry.
He made an in-depth analysis of the current development situation of the whole country and the whole province, and put forward requirements for the steady growth and operation of the cement industry in the whole province in the next step.
First, we will unswervingly implement the spirit of the document "Work Program for Steady Growth of Building Materials Industry" issued jointly by the eight ministries and commissions of the state and the "Notice of the Department of Ecology and Environment of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province on the Work of Cement Peak-Staggering Production in 2023-2024". We should fully realize that peak staggering production is an effective way for the steady growth of the industry and the steady operation of enterprises at this stage.
Second, all work should be based on the steady growth of benefits, improve the quality of economic operation of enterprises, and enhance the level of high-quality development of the industry.
Third, we should improve our political standing, enhance our overall awareness and sense of responsibility, and implement the main responsibility for the steady growth of the industry.
Fourthly, we should recognize the long-term characteristics of the current economic situation, continue to deepen the structural reform of the supply side, do a good job in the fine management of energy consumption, environmental protection, technology and quality, promote the formation of a higher level of dynamic balance between supply and demand, and make contributions to speeding up the construction of a strong economic province and a beautiful Hebei Province.
