Recently, the Hubei Development and Reform Commission released the price of cement and sand in May. In May, the prices of cement, sand and other building materials generally fell. However, the impact of the current decline in market demand has not yet formed a more obvious trend, whether the price of building materials will continue to decline in the future still needs to continue to pay attention to market dynamics.

First, the monitoring data of cement price decline

shows that in May, the average prices of 42.5 strength ordinary Portland cement, 42.5 strength slag Portland cement and 52.5 strength ordinary Portland cement in the whole province are 490.89 yuan/ton, 486.53 yuan/ton and 552.19 yuan/ton respectively. On a month-on-month basis, they decreased by 3.79%, 7.21% and 2.48% respectively; on a year-on-year basis, they decreased by 11.29%, 10.80% and 8.27% respectively. Many places reflect the impact of the decline in demand for concrete, the demand for cement has decreased synchronously and the price has fallen. show that in May, the average price of natural sand (medium-coarse sand) and machine-made sand in the whole province was 122.70 yuan/ton and 92.03 yuan/ton respectively, with a month-on-month decline of 2.61% and 0.88% respectively; Decreased by 11.09% and 5.72% respectively. III. The monitoring data of gravel price decline

shows that in May, the average price of gravel (particle size 5-16 mm) and gravel (particle size 17-31.5 mm) in the whole province was 81.44 yuan/ton and 86.97 yuan/ton respectively.
