On October 4, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The Nobel Committee awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Professor Mongi G. Bavendy (Moungi G. Bawendi) of the MIT, USA. Professor Louis E. Bruce (Louis E. Brus) of Columbia University and scientist Alexei Ikimov (Alexey I. Ekimov) of Nanocrystal Technologies, USA, in recognition of their development of perovskite quantum dots.
In addition, Professor Zhong Haizheng of Beijing Institute of Technology and Professor Zeng Haibo of Nanjing University of Science and Technology became the first group of researchers in the world to develop perovskite quantum dots, and they made representative research work on photoluminescence and electroluminescence applications of perovskite quantum dots respectively.
2. Price increase! Blackstone Intends to Buy 52% of Guruiwatt for $1.5 Billion!
On October 2, the International Finance Review (IFR) reported that the Asian renewable energy industry will make a mark on the leveraged financing market, and Blackstone Group intends to provide at least $700 million in loans. To support its acquisition of a majority stake in Growatt Technology, a Chinese solar equipment maker.
Blackstone intends to buy about 52% of the shares held by Guruiwatt's founder for about $1.5 billion. The private equity firm is seeking debt financing with a leverage multiple of 4.25 to 4.50 times, which is a rare case of leveraged loans for Asian renewable energy companies.
carbonate fell below 200000 yuan/ton again, returning to the same level as in 2021. So how low is the price of 0.5 yuan/Wh battery? At present, there are two voices in the market, one is that this is the behavior of overdrawing raw materials in advance, the other is that the decline in the rationality of batteries may usher in greater global market penetration. In the second half of this year, energy storage lithium batteries quickly fell below 0.5 yuan/Wh, which made the whole industry chain unexpected.
< Project progress >
According to the incomplete statistics of digital new energy DNE, a total of 40 Chinese photovoltaic enterprise projects entered the important nodes of signing, starting and putting into operation from September 1 to 30.
In addition to 11 contracted projects and 8 start-up projects, 21 projects have entered the production stage, and 7 of the 21 projects are located in Jiangsu Province, involving 12 GW silicon wafers, 40 GW batteries and 17 GW components. In addition, two projects were signed and two projects were started in September in Jiangsu.
On September 28, the first solar cell of the first phase project of Heguang Tongcheng Photovoltaic Technology (Yibin) Co., Ltd., located in Yibin High-tech Industrial Park, was officially launched.
It is worth noting that Sichuan Wuliangye New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as Wuliangye New Energy) is among the shareholders of Heguang Tongcheng Photovoltaic Technology (Yibin) Co., Ltd. According to the data of Aiqi Investigation, on June 28 this year, Wuliangye New Energy formally invested in Guangtong Dust (Yibin) Company.
trial production on October 1. The first phase of 10GW monocrystalline silicon wafer project covers an area of about 150 mu. It is expected to reach production on October 10 and full production in December.
Qingdian Photovoltaic Technology, a well-known enterprise of Qingdian Group, plans to invest 16 billion yuan in Hefei. Among them, the photovoltaic headquarters and photovoltaic industry chain project of Qingdian Group, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, has settled in Feidong. On the afternoon of May 6 this year, Feidong County, Hefei City, Anhui Province, signed a cooperation agreement with Qingdian Group on the project, planning to build a 16GW silicon wafer production line and supporting projects.
4. Invest another 6 billion! On the afternoon
of September 27, the signing ceremony of Kunyu Energy and Sailafu Photovoltaic Module Project, which settled in Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone, Rudong County, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, was held in Binjiang Conference Center, Nantong. It is reported that the investors of the two projects are leading enterprises in the new energy industry for more than ten years. Dongying Kunyu Power Supply Technology Co., Ltd. is in the leading position in the field of communication energy storage lithium power subdivision, with the largest market share in the world. Construction of automatic electrochemical energy storage integration and energy storage battery project with an annual output of 6GWh.
