Xiangyang Water Conservancy and Lake Bureau supervises the centralized berthing of sand dredgers in the main stream and important tributaries of the Xiangyang section of the Hanjiang River

From October 1 to 4, Xiangyang Water Conservancy and Lake Bureau dispatched law enforcement officers to Gucheng, Laohekou, Fancheng, Xiangcheng, Xiangzhou and Yicheng to inspect and supervise the centralized berthing of sand dredgers in the main stream and important tributaries of the Xiangyang section of the Hanjiang River, so as to further implement the autumn flood prevention work of the Hanjiang River.

The inspection team focused on the implementation of the centralized berthing system for sand dredgers, the safety facilities of water law enforcement boats, and the crew on duty, reminding relevant units and individuals to reinforce the anchoring facilities in time, strictly prevent the drifting of engineering ships and water law enforcement boats, strictly adhere to the safety bottom line, and ensure the safety of crew and ships.

In view of the severe and complex situation of autumn flood in the Hanjiang River, the Municipal Water Conservancy and Lake Bureau requires water administrative departments at all levels to be highly vigilant at all times, intensify inspection efforts, strengthen tracking management, pay close attention to the flood situation in real time, closely monitor the water and rain conditions, and strictly prevent all kinds of safety risks such as ship anchoring during the rising period and hull collision and inclination during the receding period.
