Full commencement of Fuzhou Port dredging and reclamation and rail crane storage yard

It is understood that the total investment of No.6 and No.7 berths in Jiangyin Port Area is about 1.96 billion yuan, which will upgrade the original two 50,000-ton container berths to 200,000-ton container berths, which can meet the simultaneous berthing of one 200,000-ton and one 10,000-ton container ships, and the annual design capacity will be increased from 800,000-TEUs to 960,000 TEUs. The capacity expansion project (Phase I and part of Phase II)

implemented this time mainly includes the construction of wharf engineering, harbor basin water area, land area formation, substation, equipment room, fire pool, pump house and other production ancillary facilities, as well as two automatic rail crane yards, which are expected to be completed and put into operation in 2024. The dredging volume of the project is about 1 million cubic meters, which will replace the traditional land and sea sand backfilling by dredging, filling and drying, which can effectively reduce the exploitation and excavation of natural resources, reduce the damage to the natural ecological environment, maintain ecological diversity and stability, and strictly implement the "green port" strategy.

At the same time, the terminal frontier equipment and yard equipment of the project will adopt remote control operation, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of intelligent and green ports and the construction of international portal ports, enhance the collection and distribution capacity of Jiangyin Port, speed up the development of port-vicinity economy, help Fuqing build a port-type national logistics hub, and build a world-class port. Promote the high-quality development of Fujian's marine economy.
