"Because of the assembly construction method, our construction period will be reduced by about 30%." At the construction site of Bozhou Vocational Education Park (Phase I) in Anhui Province, Wang Qiyang, the project manager, pointed to the tall buildings rising from the ground.
In recent years, Bozhou has closely focused on the requirements of green development of urban and rural construction, refined measures, vigorously implemented, and vigorously promoted the efficient development of green buildings, energy-saving buildings and prefabricated buildings. Since this year, 72 new assembly building projects have been started in the city.
Bozhou Vocational Education Park Project is located near Yangsheng Avenue in the urban area, with a total land area of 383,300 square meters and a total construction area of about 296,000 square meters, of which the first phase of the project is about 207,500 square meters, with an investment of about 840 million yuan. The project started in October 2022 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2024.
Prefabricated buildings are assembled from prefabricated components on the construction site. Wallboards, stairs, balconies.. These building components are manufactured in advance in the factory and transported to the construction site for assembly. "That is to say, the parts needed in the building are mass-produced in advance in the factory, manufactured in batches and transported to the construction site, and workers can install them directly." Wang Ying, a staff member of the Municipal Key Engineering Construction Management Service Center, told reporters.
At the construction site, the reporter saw that the walls and fences of the Vocational Education Park (Phase I) project had been installed, the dormitory buildings, teaching buildings and canteens had been modeled, of which the canteens had been capped, and the completion rate of other buildings was 40% -50%.
"If we follow the traditional way of construction, we need a lot of workers to build these buildings, and the speed of construction is also limited." Wang Qiyang told reporters that after the assembly construction method was adopted, all the components needed for the project were assembled, so the labor cost was greatly reduced and the construction speed was greatly improved. Fast
construction speed and low cost are only one of the advantages of prefabricated buildings, but the real attraction is their stable housing structure and comfortable living experience. "Modular building components are built together like building blocks, with a concrete layer more than ten centimeters thick in the center and several layers of steel bars superimposed, which makes the house more solid!" Wang Ying said that another advantage of prefabricated buildings is energy saving and environmental protection. "Prefabricated buildings have stronger thermal insulation performance and can save more energy in the future." Since
this year, Bozhou has incorporated the proportion of prefabricated buildings into business environment indicators, established a database of new start-up projects, and actively provided services in land transfer, feasibility study review and preliminary design review. From January to May, 796,500 square meters of prefabricated buildings were newly constructed in the city, with a construction rate of 35.71%.
