The total investment is 22.3 billion yuan! 9 Hydrogen Energy Utilization Industrial Projects Settled in Urumqi

Recently, Ganquanbao Economic Development Zone in Urumqi, Xinjiang, welcomed a signing delegation led by Zhu Qi, Vice President of China Academy of Aerospace Propulsion Technology, and the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly accelerate the development of hydrogen energy industry.

According to the agreement, China Academy of Aerospace Propulsion Technology will build nine projects in Ganquanbao Jingkai District, including 2G W (one billion watts of installed capacity) photovoltaic energy storage and hydrogen production project, 60 t/D (tons/day) green hydrogen liquefaction plant, etc. The planned investment is 22.3 billion yuan . is the first cooperation between the two sides in the hydrogen energy utilization industry, and the first phase of the project is the largest green hydrogen application demonstration project in China.

Hydrogen energy is a kind of secondary energy with abundant sources, green, low carbon, zero terminal emission and wide application. It can not only be used in the fields of medical treatment, health care and beauty, but also be widely used in oil refining as an industrial raw material. Recently, the "Three-year Action Plan for the Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry in the Autonomous Region (2023-2025)" publicly solicited opinions, and proposed that the green hydrogen industry should be the main direction of attack to promote the clean, low-carbon and green transformation of the energy structure, so as to provide a solid guarantee for promoting high-quality development in an all-round way.

Urumqi has accelerated the green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of the energy industry, and vigorously developed green energy such as hydrogen energy. The contracted project is expected to complete the preparation of the office and the pre-feasibility study of the large-scale green hydrogen application project within three months . After the project is put into operation, the annual output value will reach 36.1 billion yuan, the annual tax revenue will be 3.24 billion yuan, and 3000 jobs will be provided.
