2023, the Shoals Technologies Group of the United States, LLC of Portland, Tennessee filed a 337 application for investigation with the ITC of the United States. They claimed that the products exported to the United States, imported in the United States and sold in the United States infringed their intellectual property rights (registered patents No.10,553,739 and 10,992,254 in the United States), and requested the ITC of the United States to issue a limited exclusion order and an injunction.

The United States International Trade Commission will determine the end of the investigation within 45 days after the filing of the case. An order for relief issued by the United States International Trade Commission in a 337 case shall be effective as of the date of issuance and shall be final as of the 60th day after the date of issuance, except in the case of a veto by the United States Trade Representative on policy grounds.
