by Snøhetta and Blight Rayner, is in full swing. At present, nearly 150 pieces of 7-meter super-high positive and negative bending small radius double interlayer + hollow tempered glass created by Beibo Glass Deep Processing Division have been supplied. The design of the new theatre in Brisbane,
Australia, was inspired by the meandering Brisbane River and the shape and texture of the riverbank facade. The curved glass with different curvatures and sizes created by North Glass echoes the Brisbane River, creating a modern building with great visual impact. The original intention of the
glass curtain wall design is to seamlessly integrate with the overall architectural concept of the theatre, so the whole curtain wall glass adopts frameless splicing. In order to achieve this effect, the designer requires that the bow in the height direction should not exceed 5 mm, that is, the bow rate is less than 0.7 ‰. In general, the arc length of glass produced by steel bending equipment will not exceed one third of the circle, otherwise it is easy to cause the straight side bow in the height direction to be out of control. The arc length of the project glass has reached the semicircle size, which is very challenging for production. After more than a month of technical transformation and production commissioning, the bow shape of the glass is controlled within 5 mm of the customer's requirements.
Another difficulty is the reflection of the inner arc surface, because the glass radius is small and semicircular, if the inner arc surface is not smooth enough, the audience standing inside and looking out, it is easy to produce dizziness. There is a dilemma here, not only to ensure a certain temperature to make the bow bend within 5 mm, but also to minimize the temperature to control the glass deformation. Through the use of gapless convection, intelligent temperature control system and other unique technologies of Beibo, the glass heating is more uniform, while the optimized air grid structure accurately controls the accuracy of the air grid, through the optimization of parameters, to achieve the B est balance point, to ensure that the parameters meet the needs of designers.
The new theatre design concept emphasizes the overall efficiency and sustainability of the building, ensuring durability, weather resistance and excellent thermal performance. The superior quality and craftsmanship of Beibo glass not only creates an attractive, dramatic and unique aesthetic appearance of the building, but also optimizes energy efficiency, creates comfortable indoor conditions and reduces the impact of the building on the environment. The owner is very satisfied with the effect of the
North Glass. As a key element of the new theatre design, the glass curtain wall, combined with the overall architectural design concept, enhances the cultural significance and architectural beauty of the new Brisbane venue and creates a vibrant and attractive space.
Beibo glass is not only an architectural element here, but also a symbol of transparency, connection and artistic expression. It will become a new symbol of Brisbane, providing an unforgettable cultural landmark for art performances and the public.
