On June 5, Changxing Southern Cement Co., Ltd., an enterprise affiliated to Southern Cement , transferred part of the surplus 78.5 tons of sulfur dioxide and 138.24 tons of nitrogen oxide emission rights to Tongxiang Times Lithium Power Project in Jiaxing at an annual price of 3100 yuan/ton. This is the first cross-district and municipal emission trading officially launched in Zhejiang Province after the implementation of the Measures for the Management of Paid Use and Trading of Emission Rights.
Zhejiang Province, as the first batch of pilot areas of emission trading in China, actively encourages cross-city trading. The emission trading was led by the ecological environment bureaus of Jiaxing and Huzhou, with the participation of enterprises, and finally reached an agreement.
In recent years, Changxing Southern Cement Co., Ltd. has successfully met the second-stage ultra-low emission standards of Zhejiang Province by continuously increasing investment in environmental protection funds and technological innovation, and achieved emission reduction of 78.5 tons of sulfur dioxide and 1065.6 tons of nitrogen oxides per year.
