Cambodia has issued a sub-decree whose purpose is to prohibit colored plastic panels or the addition of curtains on all types of windshields and car windows in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The aim is to prevent crimes caused by the use of cars with stained glass by perpetrators and to make it easier for agencies and officials to exercise their inspection duties. Vehicles
using tinted glass or shelter shall be fined 50000 riels and adjusted in accordance with the provisions of the sub-order.
If the fine is not paid immediately, an additional fine of 10,000 riels per day will be added to the basic fine. Those who fail to pay the fine for
more than 30 days will bring a lawsuit to the court.
The decree also stipulates that anyone who imports cars with stained glass in violation of the regulations shall be fined 2,000,000 riels.
If the fine is not paid, an additional fine of 20,000 riels per day shall be added to the basic fine.
If the fine is not paid for more than 30 days, the case is also referred to the court.
