On May 30-31, Liu Qianlong, deputy director of the River and Lake Bureau of the Yangtze River Commission, led a research team to investigate and guide the management of sand mining in the Poyang Lake River in Jiangxi Province. The relevant comrades of the River and Lake Department of the Provincial Poyang Lake Construction Office and the Provincial Water Conservancy Technology Center accompanied the investigation.
The research team went to Jiujiang Yangtze River Joint Law Enforcement Base, Jiujiang Chengxi Sand and Stone Distribution Center, Jiangxi Sand Transport Mobile Checkpoint, Sand Mining Ship Centralized Docking Point, Jiujiang On-site Supervision Command and other places to carry out field research. In-depth exchanges and technical guidance were conducted on the planning, licensing, on-site supervision and management of sand mining in Poyang Lake, Jiangxi Province, as well as the operation of the Poyang Lake sand and stone electronic management sheet.
The research team emphasized that the management and system innovation of sand mining in Poyang Lake River has ranked first in the country, and has achieved significant ecological, social and economic benefits, setting an example for the provinces in the Yangtze River Basin in the management of sand mining in the river. It is required that the management of river sand mining in Jiangxi Province should adhere to the ecological bottom line, safety bottom line and clean government bottom line, and actively implement the requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources on promoting the full implementation of electronic management sheets in the Yangtze River Basin, so as to promote the management of river sand mining in Jiangxi Province into a new stage of "scientific, standardized and informationized".
