Recently, Yongjia County Water Conservancy Bureau of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, jointly with Wenzhou Oujiang Maritime Department, County Public Security Bureau, County Transportation Bureau and County Law Enforcement Bureau, launched a Nanxi River patrol operation in

order to crack down on illegal sand mining and transportation, inland river ship transportation and other illegal activities. On the evening of

June 1, the joint action team found clues to illegal sand mining vessels during the inspection. In order to prevent the sand mining vessels from escaping, the staff decided to arrest them again the next morning. On the morning of June 2, when the water level of Nanxi River was low, the Joint Action Group decided to close the net immediately. After the staff boarded the ship for inspection, it was confirmed that the two vessels were three non-sand mining vessels. The two illegal vessels were detained on the spot and measures were taken against the personnel on board. As the facts of the illegal act are clear, it is expected that the seized vessel will be dismantled in the future.
