Water Conservancy Bureau of Xuzhou District of Yibin City Jointly Organized a Special Action to Combat Illegal Sand Mining and Unify the Qingjiang River

In order to ensure the effectiveness of the special action to crack down on illegal sand mining in rivers in Xuzhou District and maintain the order of sand mining management in our district, on February 8, 2023, the Water Conservancy Bureau of Xuzhou District, in conjunction with the five brigades of the traffic law enforcement detachment of Yibin City (Minjiang Maritime Brigade), the Forest Police Brigade of the Public Security Bureau of Xuzhou District and the Water Conservancy Bureau of Pingshan County, launched the Minjiang River Unification Qing. One administrative law enforcement boat and 13 law enforcement officers were dispatched.

The joint Qingjiang special action was carried out in accordance with the "four not two straight" approach, maintaining a high-pressure and severe crackdown situation, strengthening inspection and strict law enforcement, focusing on the dredging of the Minjiang River waterway and the supervision of the maintenance project of the Minjiang River waterway, so as to ensure the overall controllability and stability of the river sand mining management order. In the next step, the Water Conservancy Bureau of Xuzhou District will carry out special joint law enforcement and inspection actions from time to time around the requirements of provincial, municipal and district actions to crack down on illegal sand mining in rivers, jointly strengthen the supervision and crackdown on illegal sand mining in rivers, consolidate the achievements of prohibition of sand mining, and ensure that the management order of sand mining in Xuzhou District is always in a stable and controllable situation.
