8, Shao Jun, founder and chairman of China Cement Network, visited Huaxin 1907 Cultural Relics Park and reviewed the century-old glory of Huaxin Cement Development.

Founded in 1907, Huaxin Cement Plant (Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd.) Is the earliest modern cement production enterprise in China and is known as the cradle of China's cement industry. For more than

one hundred years, Huaxin Cement Plant has witnessed the historical process of China's national industry from germination, development to modernization. It is known as the textbook of China's cement industry, and also fills in the gaps in the protection of China's modern cement industry heritage. It is an important historical industrial heritage.

In 2007, due to the changes in the situation of modern cement industry and the development of urban construction, the old site of Huaxin Cement was closed. Because it is located in the central area of Huangshi, its commercial value is very high. At that time, someone proposed to sell the factory to develop real estate.

Is it short-term economic benefit or long-term protective development? Huangshi has made a clear choice: protect in development, develop in protection, invest 2 billion yuan to renovate it, build an industrial tourist attraction on the original site and open it to tourists, revitalize the century-old factory, and open the magnificent transformation from "industrial rust belt" to "life show belt".   

Although the plant has stopped production at present, it preserves the complete plant environment, process layout, production line facilities and equipment, slogans and structures, which represents the advanced concepts and technologies of the cement industry in an era, and contains rich scientific value. It is of great significance to material science, mechanical engineering, industrial architecture, industrial archaeology and other disciplines.

In particular, its landmark buildings and structures, such as "wet" cement rotary kiln and cement storage, show people the technological process, technical equipment and cement plant style of cement production and construction in the 20th century, and have the unique industrial landscape characteristics and industrial aesthetic value of the cement industry.
