of Ningguo Cement Plant mainly comes from the local big and small conch mountains. Ningguo Cement Plant registered the cement trademark of "conch" in the name of the mountain, thus conch officially entered the public view. From the beginning of its birth, Conch has been carrying the mission and responsibility of revitalizing the national building materials industry, and has opened up the road of development by using technological innovation.

At that time, the domestic cement industry also generally used old-fashioned vertical kilns and wet kilns, and the technology was very backward. The total investment of Ningguo Cement Plant is 462 million yuan. Take the lead in introducing new dry process cement with a daily output of 4000 tons " After taking the lead in mastering the most advanced new dry process technology in the industry, Conch has accumulated advantages in capital, technology, talent, management, etc., United with domestic institutes and equipment manufacturers, quickly realized the localization of China's new dry process cement clinker production line, broke the monopoly of technology and equipment in foreign cement industry, and continuously upgraded the large-scale, modern and intensive equipment level. Conch is growing stronger and stronger, and partial security has become an obstacle to further development. The leading group of Conch Group realized that the first step to transform from a mountain cement factory to a cross-regional and cross-industry enterprise group is to step out of the mountain gate.

The conch focused its attention on the river city of Wuhu.

Conch people will not forget that when the 4000-ton new dry-process cement clinker production line was introduced, its facilities and equipment were sent to Shanghai Port by ocean-going ships, transported to Wuhu by inland river ships, and then transported from Wuhu to the construction site by automobiles. In order to ensure the smooth landing of large equipment in Wuhu, Wuhu specially built a special wharf for large equipment, which laid a foundation for the introduction of equipment and project construction. After landing, the large equipment was transported from Wuhu to Ningguo Cement Plant, with a total distance of 134 kilometers, and most of the roads and bridges along the way could not meet the requirements of large transportation. To this end, Wuhu built the Qingshui River Bridge and Zhaojia Bridge, reinforced the roadbed, renovated bridges and culverts, and even increased the number of power lines to 8-9.

In the early stage of reform and opening up, Wuhu was exploring ways of innovation and development. When reviewing Wuhu's reform and opening up, Jin Tingbai, former secretary of the Wuhu Municipal CPC Committee, said: The way out for solving the problem lies in reform. In the overall pattern of the country's opening to the outside world, we should make use of Wuhu's geographical advantages and industrial base to further create an investment environment and implement all-round opening to the outside world. Our focus is to improve the investment environment. Wuhu, an ancient and energetic city, is naturally congenial to Conch Group's spirit of reform and bold innovation. Under the background of rapid expansion and foreign investment of Conch, the main leaders of Wuhu Municipal Committee mobilized Conch to settle its headquarters in Wuhu with a series of business policies. then member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and vice governor of Anhui Province, commented that the merger of Baimashan Cement Plant was the most successful example of the adjustment of Anhui's asset stock, and the merger also set an example for large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises in China's cement industry to get rid of difficulties.

Through bankruptcy transfer, enterprise reorganization and capital optimization, some enterprises have come back to life and renewed their vitality. People gradually realized the necessity of reform, but also stimulated the reform and innovation consciousness of Wuhu people. Innovation has become the new pursuit of Wuhu people. Conch, which

1996, the Anhui Provincial Government officially announced the establishment of Anhui Conch Group Co., Ltd. in Wuhu City at the Wanjiang Development and Opening Work Conference held in Wuhu City. Conch officially entered the river city of Wuhu from a single cement factory at the foot of the mountain, and opened the take-off mode with Wuhu. The conch era of China's cement industry has begun, playing a prelude for domestic cement to catch up with the world in an all-round way. Lu Rongjing, then Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee, mentioned in his memoirs that "after formally settling in Wuhu, the development of conch began a new leap rapidly". Ren Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Conch Group, said that since its establishment, the development of Conch Group has embodied the concern and support of the Wuhu Municipal Committee, the Municipal Government and the people of the whole city. Wuhu has provided the best environment and the greatest support for Conch Group to promote international development and open up new industrial fields, enabling Conch Group to develop better and faster.
