Com, Feb. 7, China Glass said in a conference call yesterday that five TCO glass production lines, including two TCO glass production lines in Dongtai and Weihai, are planned to be built, and the annual capacity is expected to expand from 18 million square meters to 80 million square meters. This marks the transformation of Chinese glass from a float manufacturer to an advanced solar glass supplier.
When talking about the reasons for expanding production, the company said that China Building Materials is currently deeply engaged in the field of CdTe batteries, with production bases in Chengdu, Handan and Ruichang, and bases in Hunan, Heilongjiang, Sichuan, Henan, Anhui and Jiangsu are also under construction. The great potential demand provides support for the expansion of the company's production line. At the end of the
meeting, China Glass mentioned that the company was in contact with Xiexin Group and Hangzhou Fiber Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. on CdTe batteries. The modular design of mechanical equipment structure and the recovery of certain compounds in the production process can help to reduce production costs. At present, the company's TCO glass production cost control is far lower than that of its peers. The unit cost of 3.2mm TCO glass is between 38-39 yuan/m2 , while that of SPA is 56 yuan/m2 .
It is reported that at present, the daily melting capacity of TCO glass production lines in Dongtai and Weihai is 600 tons and 500 tons respectively. The Dongtai production line was ignited on February 1 and is expected to be delivered in early April.
