Recently, China Cement Network investigated the Jiujiang market and learned that compared with the same period in previous years, the sales of enterprises declined by about 25% -30% from January to May this year. According to feedback from a cement enterprise in Jiujiang, Jiujiang is located on the Yangtze River, and cement transportation has certain advantages. In previous years, cement was sold to Zhejiang and Shanghai by ship. But this year, the market is not good, cement prices in Zhejiang, Shanghai and other places are low, and cement transportation is not profitable in the past. "Now we have to lose money per ton of cement when we transport it to Shanghai." A person in charge of a cement enterprise in Jiujiang said. And the upstream part of the low-cost cement will also be shipped to the local sales, causing a certain impact on Jiujiang enterprises.
In addition, in order to maintain market share, some enterprises in Jiujiang are selling cement at a loss. According to China Cement Network, the price of cement is at a low level at this stage, while the cost of cement per ton is relatively high. The average loss of cement per ton ranges from 20 yuan to 40 yuan when selling cement from Jiujiang to Nanchang, Jingdezhen and other surrounding areas, plus transportation costs . Faced with this situation, in order to protect the market, enterprises can only insist on grinding their teeth. The head of a local cement enterprise expressed the hope that he could get through this difficult period as soon as possible.
