Recently, the comprehensive administrative law enforcement brigade of sand and gravel in Xiangyin County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province, jointly with the county transportation comprehensive law enforcement brigade and other departments, conducted a surprise inspection of the sand transport vessels in the Xiangjiang River, and launched a campaign against illegal sand mining and lake clearing. A total of 89 law enforcement officers and 8 law enforcement boats were dispatched in this special operation. The
law enforcement officers inquired and recorded the sand-related vessels docked and moved along the way, and measured the water level. They also inspected the key areas around Xinquan Town, Xiangbin Town, Nanhu Town and Hengling Lake, the waters at the junction of Xiang and yuan, and the waters at the junction of Xiangyi and Xiangli. No illegal sand mining was found during the operation.
