this week, mainly due to the following reasons: First, the price of silicon wafers continued to decline , profits were basically spread out, coupled with the loss of price decline caused by large fluctuations in raw material prices, enterprises were not enthusiastic enough to reduce production. Second, the industrial chain inventory transfers upward, and in the process of price downward, the inventory slightly superimposes and accelerates the downward trend. Therefore, it is expected that the subsequent price trend will fluctuate and adjust according to the rhythm of new production capacity of silicon materials, the actual reduction of production of silicon wafers, terminal demand and other factors.
As of this week, the number of domestic silicon material enterprises in production has been maintained at 15, with a total of 22 production bases, of which the number of sub-line maintenance enterprises has increased to 2. One of them is expected to maintain technical transformation and maintenance at the same time for one and a half months, and the other is expected to basically complete maintenance by the end of the month. In May 2023, the domestic polysilicon output was about 115600 tons , an increase of 4.62% annually, of which the output of the top five enterprises was about 93100 tons, accounting for 81%. From January to May, the domestic polysilicon output totaled 530,100 tons, up 90% year-on-year. From the perspective of domestic supply (including import) corresponding to domestic consumption, a small oversupply leads to a partial backlog of inventory, so it is expected that the pressure on some enterprises with high production costs will increase, and the trend of N/P price difference differentiation will be obvious.
