the construction project
of public mineral product corridor in Guichi District of Chizhou has attracted much attention
since it started last year. How is the project construction?

visited the latest developments of the project.
On the same day, the reporter came to the construction site of the South Bank of the Qiupu River Tunnel Project, only to see that the construction workers were operating excavators and other large operating vehicles to excavate the tunnel in an orderly manner.
According to reports, the total length of Qiupu River Tunnel is 1206 meters. In order to ensure that the project is completed on schedule in accordance with the quality and quantity, the construction unit adopts three excavation methods, namely, mining method, shield method and open-cut method, according to the characteristics of different sections and local conditions.
"Like the south bank of Qiupu River, we mainly use mining method, while the north bank uses open-cut method.". It is worth mentioning that we innovatively adopted the shield method. Originally, we planned to construct the bridge across the river, but in order to protect the ecological environment of the Qiupu River, we decided to increase the cost and use the shield to cross the Qiupu River. Sun Chaofei told reporters that this is also the first time in China to use the shield method in the corridor tunnel project to carry out crossing construction.

Walking into the construction site of the bridge section across the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, an important node of the overhead section project, the reporter saw that the three large piers were under intensive construction. Chizhou building materials corridor project on the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway Bridge Construction Project Manager Zhang Wanpeng introduced that this section needs to build four piers, since the start of construction on January 4 this year, has completed the construction of three piers, at this stage has entered the bridge superstructure construction stage, is expected to be fully completed on March 19 next year.
It is understood that the total investment of the corridor project is 2.78 billion yuan, and it is planned to build about 38 kilometers of belt conveyor and dust collection system, including about 13 kilometers of tunnel and 25 kilometers of viaduct, which is the longest mineral product transportation line in Asia.
"The project is divided into two sections.". The tunnel project started in July last year, and 90% of it has been completed. It is expected to be fully completed on June 30 this year, and the overhead section project has also started construction in an all-round way. We are confident that it will be put into operation smoothly on May 31 next year. Sun Chaofei, deputy commander of East China Material Chizhou Project Site Command, introduced to reporters that after the completion of the project, the annual transportation capacity of 60 million tons of mineral products can be realized, which will change the traditional highway transportation mode in the southern mountainous area of Guichi and alleviate the development pressure of safety and environmental protection industries, mainly truck transportation, at this stage.
