On September 16, China Nengjian Electric Power Engineering and the People's Government of Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province signed an investment cooperation agreement on the million-ton green methanol production base project (supplementary project of comprehensive energy base) in Shuangyashan City.
According to the agreement, China Electric Power Engineering will invest in the construction of a green methanol production base with an annual output of 1 million tons in Shuangyashan City, with a total investment of about 16.8 billion yuan. In the first phase, a demonstration project of biomass gasification coupling green hydrogen to produce green methanol with an annual output of 300000 tons will be constructed. The signing of this agreement is an important measure for China Electric Power Engineering to lay out the green hydrogen-based energy industry and promote the revitalization and development of the green economy in Northeast China. It is also an important manifestation of the company's implementation of the national "double carbon" strategy and the "three new" energy construction goals.
